Review: Nostalgia Electrics Vintage Series Hot Air Popcorn Maker

Out of all of the fun products that Nostalgia Electrics has to offer, I chose the Vintage Series™ Hot Air Popcorn Maker, which can be bought at Manufacturers Clearance for $29.99. I'm perfectly happy with my choice, because I can honestly say it makes our Family Movie Night extra special with movie theater quality popcorn.

This popcorn maker uses hot air instead of oil, which produces a lighter and healthier snack for the whole family to enjoy! It includes a measuring cap that assures the right amount of kernels that is poured into the popcorn maker. Reminiscent of the popcorn stands of the early 1900's, it adds an old-fashioned charm to our kitchen. The red looks better in person, just a tad richer than pictured on their site. It has a kernel capacity of 7 tbsp, which makes up to 10 cups of popcorn per batch.

Review: Flirty Aprons

The Original Chic Pink Apron ($29.95) that I received from Flirty Aprons has given me the perfect excuse to spend even more time in the kitchen! The apron that I received features damask inspired swirls contrasted by classic pink, and it is even more stunning in person! Forget the Betty Crockerish type aprons, because Flirty Aprons has a selection of hip, stylish aprons that will add a little more spring to your step in the kitchen. The detail, pleats and stitching exude high quality workmanship.

Flirty Aprons also has a selection of aprons for little girls who like to cook with mom, play dress-up, do crafts, or just clean up around the house. And, let's not forget the men in our lives! They have aprons for them too. These aprons for men who like to grill, deep fry, or hickory smoke anything. They will love these high quality men's aprons. From “Hotter Grills” to “Making Things Sizzle”, any guy will be able to find an apron that matches his personality.

Review: Chef'n VeggiChop

If every ingredient was the same shape, and every recipe worked the same way, we’d probably only need one tool in the kitchen. Checking back in with reality, however, we find the need for some pretty specific items. Chef'n has a selection of kitchen tools, and each is designed to do more — so you can use your kitchen time better.

This VeggiChop ($29.99) is the best veggie chop I have ever used. With no electricity required, it even rivals the electrical veggie choppers I've tried in the past. Using a patented blade mechanism, you can easily chop: large pieces of vegetables, fruit, nuts, herbs, boneless meats — or even ice. With a Super Bowl coming up soon, this will come in handy when I make a homemade salsa. I've used it twice already, and I made a sweet potato puree. The directions said I could make a puree with just 20 pulls, but it took me over 30 pulls. I woulldn't dare say that I'm weak because I have the strength of a bull. :) It was also a little noisy. I'm not complaining though!
