Review: Maxim's de Paris Candles

The Maxim's de Paris restaurant is rich in history and celebration. Champagne flowing, music playing, culinary delights abundant - a high society atmosphere of pleasure!

The Maxim’s Sem luxury scented candle collection is a charming modern version of the legendary caricature artist’s playful interpretation of the Maxim’s de Paris’ restaurant happenings.

George Goursat, also known as Sem, frequented the flourishing Maxim’s restaurant in Paris during the turn of the century, where he sat for hours drawing the goings on of well-known society, celebrity and trendy patrons.

Each porcelain candle container is appointed with wonderfully imaginative and playful portrayals of Paris from the artist's collection.

Recreate the decadent ambience of this era past.

I love candles! What beauty loving girl doesn't love candles? I received the Fruit Glace Candle ($36). It has a delectable melange of sweet and tart fruity essences of pomegranate, mouth-watering cantaloupe, and plum - laced with a watery floral accord. I didn't detect any hints of the floral notes much as I was hoping since I love floral scents. However, I also love fruity scents and this candle is bound to tantalize your senses. It is long lasting and burns clean. Not only this candle line is pleasing to the senses, but these candles are fun to have around with their whimisical and parisian appeal. It would be nice to collect all from this line since each scent has a different design. These candles would make great gifts and will add a touch of class to any home!

Available Scents: Bergamot Eclat, Figuier Blossoms, Violette & Lavande and Jardin Fruitier.
